Boundary conditions and features in production

Dimensions:
Blank size for finished parts from 10 x 10 mm to max. 1,480 x 2,980 mm

Sheet metal bending part:
To create a sheet metal bending part, you need a STEP file.

Edge Tolerance:
DIN 6930 (depending on material and sheet thickness).

Radius:
Our system analyzes the uploaded file and determines the optimum tool pairings depending on the material and sheet thickness. Please note that the radii may deviate from the default due to production conditions. If we suggest other radii, you will receive a message with the resulting value.

Bending imprint:
During the production of bent parts, occasionally there are bending imprints at the surface. This depends on the material and is not a reason for complaint. We therefore recommend that you request sensitive visible parts or surface parts via the contact form.

Automatic corner cropping:
When unwinding the model, an automatic corner release is selected.

Edges:
Except for copper, all materials up to and including 10 mm material thickness can be edged. Copper is not suitable for this via the online portal. Please use the contact request should you have a need for this or require further processing steps, we will also be happy to provide you with a corresponding offer.

Editing options:
LASIFY currently offers the following edits to choose from online via the inquiry:
  • Laser cutting
  • Bending
  • Countersink
  • Thread cutting
  • Drilling
Our company offers many other sheet metal processing options. Find out more on our homepage www.lasify.at.
Send us your inquiry with the DXF or STEP file, specifying the material, the material thickness, the surface, the desired number of pieces and the processing request to info@lasify.at - we will be happy to provide you with an appropriate offer.

    Laser cutting:
Laser cutting, also known as laser beam cutting, is a thermal cutting process for sheet material. We process metal sheets and 3-dimensional bodies (e.g. tubes or profiles) by means of a laser. Laser flame cutting is the most frequently used laser cutting method in our company. Depending on the material we usually use for laser cutting
  • Oxygen for sheet steel
  • Nitrogen for stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal

    Temper color:
Depending on the material and part contour, discoloration of the material may occur during laser cutting. This occurs in particular with small geometries/contours and narrow webs, as the heat of the laser cannot dissipate here. This discoloration can only be removed by grinding. We would like to point out that these so-called tempering colors do not constitute grounds for complaint.

    Laser spatter:
Depending on the material and sheet thickness, metal splashes may occur on the surface during laser cutting. Causes for this can be
  • the procedure (laser puncture),
  • the component (component geometry or component contour) or
  • the production (component nesting and position on the lamellas).
These are difficult to influence in advance.
Laser spatter is usually not a reason for complaint, but can be removed by deburring. We therefore recommend selecting the "deburring" option as an additional production step in the inquiry for components with a sensitive surface or for parts that must be free of splatter.

    Burr formation:
Depending on the material and sheet thickness, burrs may form on the underside during laser cutting. We remove these unevennesses by deburring or by barrel finishing. We recommend to select the option "deburring" in the inquiry as follows, in case of
  • Aluminum: from 1 mm
  • Stainless steel: from 1.5 mm
  • Steel: from 3 mm

Roughness of the laser cut contour:
Depending on the material and sheet thickness, grooves may appear on the cutting contour during laser cutting. This so-called roughness on the cut surface cannot be removed by deburring. We would like to point out that this is not a reason for complaint.

    Material selection
We are continuously expanding our range of materials and have a wide range of thin and thick sheet made of sheet steel, stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals. Offline we have a much larger selection and variety - if the material you are looking for is not listed, please ask us via the contact form. Please send us your inquiry with the DXF file, specifying the material, the material thickness, the surface, the desired number of pieces and the processing request to info@lasify.at - we will be happy to prepare an appropriate offer for your needs.

    Standards:
Compliance with the tolerances for laser processing according to EN ISO 9013 is standard for us. We always manufacture the sheet metal bent parts according to the general tolerance DIN 6930 (depending on material and sheet thickness).

    Technical requirement:
To request and produce your laser cut you need a DXF file and to create a sheet metal bending part you need a STEP file. Please note the parameters for the nature of the file (lines, colors, layers, marking, etc.). Further details also under "DXF/STEP".
